The Gifts of the Nornir
A Spiritual Healing Path by Mark “Mystisk Ulv” Weisman
In Norse lore, the Nornir are the weavers of fate—tending the roots of the World Tree, shaping what has been, what is, and what may yet come.
These books are written for those of us who have been shaped by hard weather: trauma, grief, shame, anxiety, addiction, burnout, and all the quiet storms that never quite make the news.
The Gifts of the Nornir is a cycle of Spiritual Healing Path books that blends Norse shamanic wisdom, modern nervous-system understanding, and the Rewriting Your Emotional Recipes (RYER) framework. Each volume takes one “knot” in the web—overwhelm, chronic stress, grief, self-hatred, performance panic, and more—and walks it into the forge:
- Part One helps you understand where this pattern lives in your story, ancestry, and nervous system.
- Part Two, The Forge, gives you concrete practices, reflections, and small rituals to begin rewriting the recipe in your own life.
Every cover you see below belongs to that larger tapestry. The first volume, Standing in the Storm, will be released in late December 2025; the others are future “gifts” still in the forge. All of them are meant to do the same thing: help you stand a little steadier in your own weather, with more clarity, more compassion, and more choice than you’ve been given so far.

- Remembering Your True Name – Shame, self-hatred, harsh inner critic, feeling “not enough” or “too much.”
- Walking the Road of Empty Chairs – Grief, loss, missing people or futures that never got fully mourned.
- When the Sleeping Dragons Stir – Trauma echoes, hypervigilance, jumpiness, body memories, flashback-y reactions.
- Unbinding the Thirsting Serpent – Addiction, compulsive habits, craving loops you keep getting pulled back into.
- Laying Down the Bloodied Axe – Anger, rage, resentment, explosive or simmering fury that costs you and others.
- Keeping the Fire in the Hall – Relationship conflict, attachment panic, fear of abandonment or being smothered.
- Taking Off the Golden Chains – People-pleasing, fawn responses, struggling to say no or hold boundaries.
- Walking the Edge of the Shieldwall – Performance anxiety, imposter syndrome, constant pressure to prove yourself.
- Listening in the Silent Void – Existential dread, “what’s the point?”, spiritual dryness and meaning crisis.
